Scope and ContentTwo large aquatint engravings depicting the visit of George IV to Dublin in 1821. The first show the entry of the King into Dublin on 17 August 1821 and the second his embarkation from Dun Laoghaire on 3 September 1821. The engravings by Robert Havell (1769-1832) were based on paintings of the scenes by Joseph Haverty RHA (1794-1864) which were in turn based on contemporaneous sketches by John Lushington Reilly. The published views bear inscriptions dedicating them to George IV by Reilly.
