Scope and ContentWatercolour painting with accompanying MS notes by Daniel Grose sowing the tomb of Sir Lucas Dillon and his two wives, Marion Sharl and Jane Bathe, located in the ruins of the parish church at Newtown Trim, just to the east of the cathedral. The tomb, which was erected in the 1580s or 1590s, is described by Roger Stalley as 'one of the finest pieces if Renaissance sculpture in Ireland'.
