Scope and ContentWatercolour paintings and accompanying MS text by Daniel Grose showing various remains of the early Christan monastery on Inchcleraun, a low-ling island in Lough Ree, Co. Longford. The largest of the six (not seven as per Grose) church on the site is Templemor, visible in the centre of the first view. The second view illustrates Templemore from the north. The third view show the ruins of ‘Clogás an Oileáin’ or the island bell-tower, a rectangular church with a western tower.
